Last weekend was what I would consider a “practically perfect” weekend. All of my family was in town(including Lyd and Paige!- we missed you Nick); my favorite in-laws drove in from WA, and my mom’s family from WY all came in to town!
Saturday morning all the families and some friends from back home met at the Treehouse Museum for a morning of fun!
The parents were exhausted long before the kids were…(Anyone who would like to have this experience, please let me know! I’m open almost all the time to going; it’s sooooo much fun for the kids!)
That afternoon Rob and the WA crew went down to SL to see his family while my fam and I went to a baby shower for a cousin on my dad’s side. I got to see almost EVERY cousin of mine this weekend! (Ok, so in this picture Lyd is the only one actually holding her own kid-haha!)
Afterwards we had a BBQ with my Aunt Kathy’s family even though it was raining cats and dogs outside. Thanks dad for being such a brave cook :)
That night Aaron and Rob went and ran errands for Sunday’s big event. On his way Rob picked me up some of these:
Aren’t they BEAUTIFUL! I think this is maybe the second time this has ever happened and I LOVED IT! No reason; just because he knew I’d like them.
Sunday morning friends and family gathered at our ward for Morgan’s blessing. He is the most beautiful and wonderful little spirit to have in our home. I know I must take the greatest care with him…and apparently he doesn’t like kitties any more than his dad or grandpas.

We had a dinner for everyone after the three hour block and had a wonderful time visiting. The kids played outside which was nice because cramming over 30 adults alone in our house is quite a feat. haha! I wouldn’t have had it any other way though…and would have crammed more in if they could have come :)
That night I got to have Lyd and Paige at my house for their last few hours in UT. I really enjoyed getting to visit with them—and with Rob’s family from WA also. Monday morning our fun cousins June and Logan left. Mason and Paige put up with each other quite well; I (and Lyd) were even able to catch a few pics with them being amiable towards each other. –haha!
It was very sad indeed when we dropped them, the last of our family, off at the airport later that morning. I’m so glad they took the time to come; I know it wasn’t easy!
Thank you to EVERYONE for joining us on this fun/wonderful weekend! We truly appreciate all the love, support, work, and fun you all shared with us. And THANKS TO BRIT for taking the gorgeous pics of my Morgan! See? How could you NOT call that a perfect weekend???
