The Pumpkin Farm

Today we went to J&J Garden Center for a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch. It was fun, the wait and weather wasn’t too bad, and once you were to the patch any child 12 and under could choose a pumpkin to take home with them for free. Mason was SO excited. While waiting in line he kept running to the front and trying to sneak on with other families. If he wasn’t doing that he was jumping up and down yelling “we’re going on the pumpkin wagon! We’re going to get pumpkins!”. Finally our turn came, and 15 minutes later we were in the middle of acres and acres of pumpkins.

And of all the thousands of pumpkins in the pumpkin patch, this is the one he proudly chose:

…The tiny half-formed green one. He was so excited about it. He kept saying “This is our happy pumpkin! This is my happy pumpkin!”. Listening to him say that and watching him proudly carry it around reminded me of another cute little large-headed boy:

Yep. Mason is my very own Charlie Brown, and I love him to the moon and back!

And in other news…this is what Morgan thought of the whole thing:
