The Outlaw

Let me introduce myself; my name is Amanda Lee, and I am the sheriff of a little place called Chateau Stevens. I have one posse member, Roberto, but as he has a 2nd job out of town to support the wife and kids, he is rarely around for the day hours. As such I stay pretty busy, and run into all sorts of characters and circumstances. Let me tell you about one of them…

There was a new comer in town by the name of Mr. Morgan. On this particular day he’d been makin’ a big stink up-town and I (being the sheriff) had to take care of it (unfortunately those kind of things don't just take care of themselves). When I got back to the town center I was encountered with this:

bday (66)

The perp? A Mr. Mason who’d been known to cause problems before: staying up all night, breaking noise ordinances, and harming innocent tomato babies to say the least. This time he had a new side kick with him he called “Duck”. This was a HUGE crime scene. I was seething mad! It was going to take me FOREVER to clean up and restore order to the town now.

He was booked immediately into the jail on multiple charges: battery and assault on a Ms. Birthday Cake, handling/misuse of dangerous cutlery, desecration of the town center, and throwing desecrated pieces at the sheriff!!!.

I let his accomplice “Duck” go with only a warning as he seemed to have been forced along. Needless to say Mr. Mason will be behind bars for a very, very long time…

*Will post about birthday at a later date.

My Practically Perfect Weekend

Last weekend was what I would consider a “practically perfect” weekend. All of my family was in town(including Lyd and Paige!- we missed you Nick); my favorite in-laws drove in from WA, and my mom’s family from WY all came in to town!

Saturday morning all the families and some friends from back home met at the Treehouse Museum for a morning of fun!

The parents were exhausted long before the kids were…(Anyone who would like to have this experience, please let me know! I’m open almost all the time to going; it’s sooooo much fun for the kids!)

That afternoon Rob and the WA crew went down to SL to see his family while my fam and I went to a baby shower for a cousin on my dad’s side. I got to see almost EVERY cousin of mine this weekend! (Ok, so in this picture Lyd is the only one actually holding her own kid-haha!)

Afterwards we had a BBQ with my Aunt Kathy’s family even though it was raining cats and dogs outside. Thanks dad for being such a brave cook :)

That night Aaron and Rob went and ran errands for Sunday’s big event. On his way Rob picked me up some of these:

Apr.12th (14)

Aren’t they BEAUTIFUL! I think this is maybe the second time this has ever happened and I LOVED IT! No reason; just because he knew I’d like them.

Sunday morning friends and family gathered at our ward for Morgan’s blessing. He is the most beautiful and wonderful little spirit to have in our home. I know I must take the greatest care with him…and apparently he doesn’t like kitties any more than his dad or grandpas.

We had a dinner for everyone after the three hour block and had a wonderful time visiting. The kids played outside which was nice because cramming over 30 adults alone in our house is quite a feat. haha! I wouldn’t have had it any other way though…and would have crammed more in if they could have come :)

That night I got to have Lyd and Paige at my house for their last few hours in UT. I really enjoyed getting to visit with them—and with Rob’s family from WA also. Monday morning our fun cousins June and Logan left. Mason and Paige put up with each other quite well; I (and Lyd) were even able to catch a few pics with them being amiable towards each other. –haha!

It was very sad indeed when we dropped them, the last of our family, off at the airport later that morning. I’m so glad they took the time to come; I know it wasn’t easy!

Thank you to EVERYONE for joining us on this fun/wonderful weekend! We truly appreciate all the love, support, work, and fun you all shared with us. And THANKS TO BRIT for taking the gorgeous pics of my Morgan! See? How could you NOT call that a perfect weekend???

King & Queen of Country

That’s right! I got to go to the Reba/George Straight concert, and it was awesome!!! It was even more fun because I got to go with my Aunt Kathy, cousin Josie, mom, Sav, and LYD!

And now a couple of little videos to prove we were there:

I waited through several songs for George Straight to get in the perfect position, ran down a flight of stairs, and got in trouble with a security officer all for this picture:

All of that and he was only 30 feet away and I had my zoom all the way in and still that was the best I could get!!! Dumb, cheap, point-and-shoot cameras…hahaha!- oh well, it was fun :)
