One WONDERFUL Week: Part One

Last Friday (like, over a week ago)- the fam headed down to Fillmore so we could participate in the annual Fillmore Library Street Fair…and it was AWESOME! My mom works at the library, so we had all the ins (hee hee). :)

There were bounce houses:

Group 047 Group 039 So, the little pokey guy up top is a hedgehog. We were told that if he is scared he’ll curl up in a ball so tight you can’t see his face, but…if his face is out he is comfy and happy. As you can see he was very comfy and happy with Mason. Many animals seem to be…he must be related to my dad. And that is a chinchilla the man is holding.

Exotic Naps:

A puppet show:

(That is a picture of Mason being good. Most of the time he was either in the book reader’s face or trying to grab a puppet, or trying to get in the box the puppeteers were in.)

And then the trout chase…heaven help me. It was at the same time absolutely hilarious and horribly, terribly frustrating!!! Unlike the chicken chase, they broke the trout chase into age groups. Morgan was in the first one. If you look at the bottom, enlarged picture you can see a fish is practically touching him. He just wanted to splash his little fingers in the water. Didn’t care the fish was there. That’s ok. He’s only a little guy. And then there was Mason. I thought he would be old enough to understand the concept of chase and grab. The others did… I spent the entire two minute allotted time yelling “Mason!!! Mason grab a fish! Grab a fish!”. He just watched them. A whole GROUP SWAM BETWEEN HIS LEGS and he just watched them. (In the enlarged pic you can see at the very, very bottom of the picture a fish head coming right at him…and he’s just smiling at it). As you can see in the video, keeping his pants above water was much more important than catching a fish…  aaagggh! and … hahahaha!

What can ya do???

Other things at the street fair I didn’t get pictures of: arts and crafts, scavenger hunt for free books, vendors selling their wares, and so, SOOOO much food!

Sunday= church and bubbles (thank you Aunt Brit and Uncle Aaron!):

Sunday night dad had to go back to Roy. We stayed in Fillmore for a couple more days while he was in New York for work. Brief description of his trip (after the conference) he saw: the space shuttle!!!, the new twin tower!, the Statue of Liberty!, and the Wall Street Protestors! Now, stay tuned for the rest of the week.
